Spring is here...& so is Brian's deployment date

Happy Spring everybody!!  Just thought I would update you all on what we’ve been up to and we also have some news on Brian’s next deployment….

Brian has a deployment date of early May now.  I always thought he would leave in September of this year but we always knew there would be a chance that he would have to leave as early as May.  He will deploy to the Philippines hopefully just for 6^th months but it could possibly be longer.  He won’t know for a while.  So now Brian is leaving in just over a month.  It came a little more suddenly than I hoped but we are looking on the bright side and at least he can get it over with.

May is coming up very fast and we have been planning to do an overseas vacation for a while now and we wanted to do it prior to his next deployment.  We thought we had more time to plan it but we basically have had to push our vacation planning into 5^th gear!!  Brian will have 2 weeks leave in April so we have booked our dream trip to Ireland!  We are so excited!!  It is pretty last minute but we found a way to work it all out and we actually are probably going to save money going in April because it’s still the off-season for travel in Europe and prices and crowds go up in the summer time.  We are going to visit London, Ireland & Scotland!  We bought some travel books so we are still mapping out our trip and figuring out all the things we want to see.  The trip definitely gives us something to look forward to prior to Brian’s departure!

In the meantime we haven’t been up to anything too exciting.  Brian has been local for the past few weeks so it’s been nice having him home!  We had my dad and brother Cody visiting last weekend which was a lot of fun!  In the next couple weeks we will also have visits from Brian’s Dad and Brian’s sister Laura too so we’re looking forward to their visits!  We may be going to see my sister in Boulder, CO this coming weekend too because Brian has to be in Denver next week for a week-long school anyway so we figured we would spend the weekend there too!  My fingers are crossed Brian’s school doesn’t get cancelled so we can go!
